2017 is here. But there’s still time to get started on those New Year’s Resolutions! Eating right, drinking more water or being more consistent with your workout routine are things we typically commit to at the beginning of each year. But don’t forget about your skin this 2017! So let’s talk skincare resolutions.

1. Assess your beauty products

It’s a great time to go through all your skincare products and take a close look at each and every one of them. Did they actually work for you during 2016? How long have you had them? Could they be expired? Have they dried out or could they be contaminated? Get rid of all those that don’t feel right and leave room for some great new ones for your 2017 skincare routine.

Make 2017 the year in which you committed to wearing SPF daily, and actually followed through. Dermatologists have long advised us that we should be wearing sunscreen and reapplying it often. Don’t wait for it to look perfect before you start loving it. Adore your skin right now for what it is. Self-love starts with you: take care of your mind, soul, and body by eating well, getting enough sleep, and taking solid time for self-care no matter whether you’re in your 20s or 60s and beyond (read: meditation, not shopping, lovely!).
